Are the things that a junub person does dirty? Is it a sin to walk around for a person when he is junub?
Are all the things done by a person (man or woman) before he/she makes ghusl dirty? Is ghusl valid if a person does not use soap-shampoo and a toothbrush? For, the body gets dirty. Some bodies become very oily. What is the criterion about it? What things should we be careful about?
Dear Brother / Sister,
The following things are forbidden for a junub person:
1. To perform prayers,
2. To circumambulate the Kaaba,
3. To touch the Quran and to carry it. Therefore, it is not permissible to touch and to carry coins and banknotes on which a verse of the Quran is written. (Majmaul-Anhur, I/26)
Apart from the three things above, a junub person can do daily chores; a woman can clean the house and do the housework; all of what she does is clean. However, it is more appropriate to make ghusl first if it is possible.
What is fard in ghusl is to wash the whole body. Therefore, it is not necessary to use shampoo or soap. Ghusl made by using shampoo or soap is valid.
It is not a sin for a person to walk around when he is junub. However, it is not permissible to remain junub long enough to pass the time of a fard prayer since it will cause him to miss that prayer.
