Is sexual intercourse permissible in the month of Ramadan?

The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
It is not permissible to have a sexual intercourse between imsak (pre-dawn) and sunset (evening), that is while fasting, in the month of Ramadan; fasting is invalidated and kaffarah (fasting for two months on end) becomes necessary if a sexual intercourse occurs.
However, it is permissible to have a sexual intercourse after iftar (sunset) up to the time of imsak.
