What is the time period for the evening prayer? The people living in the Central Asian countries act differently about the time period of the evening prayer.
Dear Brother / Sister,
The time period for the evening prayer is from the sunset to the disappearance of the twilight.
According to Abu Hanifa, twilight is the whiteness that occurs after the redness in the horizon in the evening.
According to Imam Abu Yusuf, Imam Muhammad and the other three imams and another narration from Abu Hanifa, twilight is the redness occurring in the horizon. When this redness disappears, the time period for the evening prayer ends. Different opinions about the time period for the evening prayer originate from this.
The time periods are stated clearly in Turkey Diyanet calendar. Therefore, prayers can be performed in the time periods stated in that calendar.
It is mustahab to perform the evening prayer in the earliest part of its time period.
