What can be said about the evolution of the sticklebacks and Darwin’s finches?

The Details of the Question

- What can be said about the evolution of the sticklebacks and Darwin’s finches, which are shown as evidence for evolution?
- They say do not say fish because fish is not a species, genus or order and not even a family taxonomically. Fish is a taxonomic class. There are 28.000 living and hundreds of thousands of extinct fish species. They all have different characteristics but there is a smooth transition between them.

The Answer

Dear Brother / Sister,

The answer to them is within the question. Look what they say:

Fish is a taxonomic class. There are 28.000 living and hundreds of thousands of extinct fish species. They all have different characteristics but there is a smooth transition between them.”

We say the same thing. There are thousands of fish. They are not the same as if they are photocopied paper. Besides, no members of a living group are the same. Are people the same as photocopy paper? If it were so, how would we distinguish people?

The genetic structure constituted by each species can be considered to be a pool. It is called a gene pool. For example, if a Chinese and an Arab got married, their genetic characteristics coming from their ancestors since Hz. Adam would be assumed as a gene pool. An individual is created based on matchings and interactions among those genes. This individual will not resemble any other relative 100%. Each individual will have characteristics with certain proportions.

That is what they call smooth transition. That is, this individual is neither a Chinese nor an Arab fully in terms of race. They are the changes that science shows and are seen by our eyes. Nobody has an objection to it. They show combinations within a species or in the gene pool as evidence that new and different species will occur and suggest that they claim that this change will take place over a long period of time. According to them, time is a magic pool. If a cat entered that pool, it would become a lion, a wolf, etc. Such a thought is nonsense, not knowledge.

Similarly, there will definitely be many differences in the gene pool formed by fish. However, the fish to occur will be fish again no matter what its form, shape and length are like. Unlike what they claim, frogs from fish, snakes and crocodiles from frogs did not and will not occur immediately with the ebb of the water.

Finches are like that too. There are species with beak structures of different lengths. When there is food shortage in some arid years, the number of short-billed finches decreases; it increases in rainy years. Finches have no other characteristics. Nobody has witnessed a nightingale coming from a finch so far.

Instead of spending time with this type of internet gossip, if you fulfill your duty to know Allah and to worship Him, which is the purpose of man’s being sent to the world, you will be saved from the penalty of Hell awaiting you and you will enter the path of eternal Paradise. If you are very curious about the creation of man and other beings, you should listen to Allah and the Prophet as much as you listen to scientists and philosophers because they are the authority in this issue. For, it is Allah Who created all beings, and it is His Prophet who knows about it.

You will not be asked how fish and finches were created when you go to the hereafter. You know about it, too. You will be asked whether you worshipped or not, whether you read the Quran or not and whether you learned and practiced the Sunnah of the Prophet or not.

Satan and some demonized people keep you unnecessarily busy by putting forward the views of the atheists about the occurrence of beings and humans so that you will go to the hereafter with empty hands and by regretting.

It is important to know that regretting there will be of no good. Satan and the demonized people will move away from you there. They will be busy with their own trouble.

A sane person prepares for the hereafter when there is time. He does not spend time with unnecessary and useless rumors.
