Is a missed (qada) prayer performed before the fard prayer of the time and is it performed in order?
Is it true that a missed (qada) prayer cannot be performed if the time for the afternoon prayer has started? I performed the afternoon prayer and I want to perform the qada of the morning and the noon prayer; is the order important? Is it wrong if I perform the qada of the noon prayer first and the morning prayer after it? Is it appropriate if I perform the qada of the sunnah and fard of the morning prayer after the afternoon prayer and then the qada of the noon prayer immediately after it; or do I have to wait for ten seconds after the afternoon prayer?
Dear Brother / Sister,
Qada (missed) prayers can be performed before the fard of the afternoon prayer.
If the number of the prayer that a person missed is very few, if these prayers are remembered and if the time of the prayer to be performed is enough, it becomes necessary to perform those missed prayers in order.
The Prophet (pbuh) and the Companions missed the noon, afternoon and evening prayers during the Battle of Khandaq; after a while, the Prophet (pbuh) ordered Bilal al-Habashi to call adhan. When Bilal called adhan and iqamah, the Prophet and the Companions performed the noon, then the afternoon and then the evening prayer as qada.
Up to how many prayers are the missed prayers regarded as very few?
If six or more prayers except witr prayer are missed, it is regarded as "many"; if it is less than six, it is regarded as "very few".
If a person performs all of his many missed (qada) prayers, does he become sahib at-tartib after that?
No. For, "what falls does not come back." When the number of prayers a person missed reaches six, he loses the quality of being sahib at-tartib and he cannot regain that quality again.
You can perform qada prayers without waiting after the afternoon prayer.
When the morning prayer is missed, its sunnah is performed as qada if it is performed before noon on the same day. The sunnah of the morning prayer is not performed after noon time.
