As far as we know, the following hadith narration exists:
“He who wants to know his place in the eye of Allah should look at Allah’s place in his eye.” (see al-Munawi, Mukhtasarul-Jamiis-Saghir, 2/276; Abu Nuaym, al-Hilya, 6/176, 274)
Nasiruddin al-Albani states that the hadith narration in Mukhtasarul-Jamiis-Saghir is hasan. (see Sahihul-Jami, no: 6006)
