Frequent wet dreams: If a person frequently has wet dreams, is there any way to reduce it?

The Answer

Dear Brother / Sister,

There is no religious drawback to frequent wet dreams. However, there are some reasons for frequent urination. It stems from doing things that please the soul, such as eating too much, looking at haram things too much, etc.

You might also have a disease. We recommend that you consult a specialist doctor. It can be caused by a disease.

We advise you to keep your waist warm. You should try to protect yourself from haram and obscene things. Do not go to sleep eating fatty and vitamin-rich foods. Stop eating four to five hours before sleep.

Fast if you can because fasting curbs lustful feelings.

The Prophet (pbuh) states the following in a hadith:

“O community of young people! Whoever among you can afford to marry, let him marry because it is the best way to keep the eye from haram and the best way to protect chastity. And whoever is unable to marry, let him continue fasting because fasting is a protection for him.” (Bukhari, Nikah 2-3; Muslim, Nikah 1-3; Abu Dawud, Nikah 1; Tirmidhi, Nikah l, Nasai, Nikah 3; Ibn Majah, Nikah 1).
