Will you write the hadiths in which the Prophet says the Last Hour will not come unless these things happen?

The Answer

Dear Brother / Sister,

There are many hadiths about it. Some of them are as follows:

Abu Hurayra (radiyallahu anh) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“The Last Hour will not come until you fight with a people wearing shoes of hair. The Last Hour will not come until you fight with a people having faces looking like shields coated with leather, having small eyes and broad snub noses.” (Bukhari, Jihad 95, 96, Manaqib 25; Muslim, Fitan 62, Abu Dawud, Malahim 9, Tirmidhi, Fitan 40, Nasai, Jihad 42)

According to what is narrated from Abu Hurayra (r.a.), the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “Doomsday will not strike until the incidents of Harj increase.” They asked: “O Messenger of Allah! What is Harj?” The Messenger of Allah said: “Killing, killing!” (Muslim, Fitan 18)

Abu Hurayra (radiyallahu anh) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“Doomsday will not strike before the Euphrates uncovers a mountain of gold. People will fight for it. Ninety-nine out of each one hundred will be killed. Every one of them will think, ‘I will probably win the fight.’” (Bukhari, Fitan 24; Muslim, Fitan 29)

Abu Hurayra (radiyallahu anh) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“The Last Hour will not come until fire emits from the earth of Hejaz which will illuminate the necks of the camels of Busra.” (Bukhari, Fitan 24; Muslim, Fitan 42)

Abu Hurayra (radiyallahu anh) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“The Last Hour will not come until the Romans land at al-A’maq or in Dabiq. An army consisting of the best of the people of the earth at that time will come from Madinah to counteract them. When they arrange themselves in ranks, the Romans will say:

“Do not stand between us and those (Muslims) who took prisoners from amongst us. Let us fight with them; and the Muslims will say: Nay, by Allah, we will never get aside from you and from our brethren that you may fight them. They will then fight and a third of the army will run away, whom Allah will never forgive. A third which will be constituted of excellent martyrs in Allah’s eye, will be killed and the third who will never be put to trial will win and they will be conquerors of Constantinople. And as they will be busy in distributing the spoils of war (amongst themselves) after hanging their swords by the olive trees, Satan will cry: Masih Dajjal has taken your place among your family.”

“They will then come out, but that news is wrong. And when they come to Damascus, he (Dajjal) will come out. While they will be still preparing themselves for battle drawing up the ranks, iqamah will be called for prayer and then Jesus, son of Mary, will descend and want to go to them. When the enemy of Allah sees him, he will disappear just as the salt dissolves itself in water and if he (Jesus) were not to confront him at all, even then he would dissolve completely, but Allah will kill him with His hand of power and he will show them his blood on his lance.” (Muslim, Fitan 34,)

Abu Hurayra (radiyallahu anh) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“The Hour will not be established till the buttocks of the women of the tribe of Daws move while going round Dhul-Khalasa.” Dhul-Khalasa was the idol of the Daws tribe (in Tabala) which they used to worship in the Pre-Islamic Period of ignorance.” (Bukhari, Fitan 23; Muslim, Fitan 51)

Abu Hurayra (radiyallahu anh) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“Doomsday will not strike until two groups of Muslims fight among themselves. They will fight a great war between them, but their cause is one.” (Bukhari, Fitan 24, Manaqib 25, Istitaba 8; Muslim, İman 248, Fitan 17)

Hudhayfa (radiyallahu anh) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“By the One in whose hand is my soul! The Hour will not be established until you fight your imams, you strike one another with your swords and your world is inherited by the evilest among you.” (Tirmidhi, Fitan 9)

Anas (radiyallahu anh) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“Before the Hour, there shall be fitan like a portion of the dark night. Morning will come upon a man as a believer, who will be an unbeliever in the evening, and evening will come upon a believer, who will be an unbeliever in the morning; people will sell their religion for goods of the world.” (Tirmidhi, Fitan 30)

Abu Hurayra (radiyallahu anh) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“The Hour shall not be established until nearly thirty imposters, Dajjals appear, each of them claiming that he is the Messenger of Allah.” (Tirmidhi, Fitan 43, Abu Dawud, Malahim 16)

Abu Hurayra (radiyallahu anh) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“The Hour will not be established till the sun rises from the west, and when it rises (from the west) and the people see it, then all of them will believe (in Allah). But that will be the time when ‘No good it will do to a soul to believe then. If it believed not before’.” (Bukhari, Riqaq 39, Istisqa 27, Zakah 9; Muslim, Iman 248, Abu Dawud, Malahim 12.)

Abu Said (radiyallahu anh) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“I swear by the One who holds my soul in His mighty hand that the Hour will not come unless wild animals speak to people, unless the leather on the end of his whip and the laces of his shoes speak to a person, and unless his knee informs him of what his people do after him.” (Tirmidhi, Fitan 19)

Hudhayfa (radiyallahu anh) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“Doomsday will not strike unless the most fortunate people in the world will the sons of scoundrels.” (Tirmidhi, Fitan 37)

Anas (radiyallahu anh) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“The Hour will not occur as long as anyone says: ‘Allah, Allah.” (Muslim, Iman 234, Tirmidhi, Fitan 35)

The following is stated in another version of the hadith:

“The Hour will not occur until ‘Allah, Allah’ is not said on earth.”

Anas (radiyallahu anh) narrates: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

“The hour shall not be established until time is constricted, and the year is like a month, a month is like the week, and the week is like the day, and the day is like the hour, and the hour is like the flare of the fire.” (Tirmidhi, Zuhd 24)
