The Details of the Question
I want to ask that what is the status of Khula decided in court in islam when husband and his family is not responding to any legal communication and khula is decided by just one sided? Can a person marry with such a woman as per Islamic laws? Submitted by on Mon, 13/09/2010 - 21:26
The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
If the judge decides to divorce them, they are regarded to have been divorced in terms of religion, too. The woman can marry after the period of iddah (the period of waiting for a woman after her marriage ends) ends.
