The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
Qada (missed) prayers can be performed between the sunnah and fard of a daily prayer.
If a person performs the sunnah of a daily prayer and buys or sells something, eats or drinks before the fard prayer, it will be appropriate for him to perform that sunnah prayer again. For, sunnah prayers are connected with fard prayers. To give a break due to a worldly deed means to separate them. However, a morsel or a sip will be all right. That is, it will not decrease the virtue of the sunnah. Besides, it is permissible to worship between the sunnah and fard of a daily prayer. (al-Khulasa; Fatawa al-Hindiyya)
