Is it fard to perform the Friday prayer while travelling according to Shafiis?

The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
One of the conditions of the Friday prayer is to be resident. Therefore, the Friday prayer is not fard for travelers.
It is haram for a person for whom Friday prayer is fard to start travelling after dawn, that is, after the time for the morning prayer starts and before the Friday prayer. However, if it is possible to reach a place where Friday prayer is performed, it is permissible to start travelling before the Friday prayer.
