Is it a sin to use pills that delay menstruation so as to perform fasting fully and not to miss any fasting in Ramadan?

The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
It is permissible to use pills or other medication to stop menstrual bleeding earlier or to delay it in order to perform fasting. (see al-Fatawa al-Kubra, II/98)
However, if such medication is definitely harmful for a woman, her fasting is not harmed but a woman who does it becomes responsible.
