The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
The direction of the Kaaba is determined from the nearer side; it is not permissible to turn toward the Kaaba in the opposite direction.
The Kaaba is a luminous pillar extending to the sky from under the ground. It is not possible to turn toward the Kaaba by turning anywhere. For instance, if a person who turns toward the Kaaba when he performs a prayer turns toward the opposite direction, his back turns toward that luminous pillar. It is necessary to turn toward the Kaaba direction while praying.
