Will women be given other men except their spouses like men are given other women in Paradise?
It is said that the women who go to Paradise will be given other men like men being given other women and houris. For, it is known that women will be given whatever they want and even more in Paradise. In that case, will a man not be jealous of his wife?
Dear Brother / Sister,
Is there clear evidence that a woman will have only one husband in Paradise or that she will not have more than one husband.
We think it is possible to say clearly that “yes, there is”:
It is stated in various hadiths that when Umm Habiba asked the Prophet which husband a woman who married another man when her husband died in the world would marry in Paradise, the Prophet (pbuh) said she would marry the one with the high ethics.
It is stated in another narration that the woman would be left free to choose among the men she married in the world and marry the one she wanted.
It is stated in another narration that she would be the wife of her last husband. (1)
There are no contradictions among those narrations. For, it is clear that the woman would prefer her husband who had high ethics and who treated her well. Marrying her last husband may be in question when all of her husbands had high ethics and when she could not prefer one of them. (2)
What matters for us is that each of these narrations is clear evidence that a woman will not be the wife of more than one man and that she will not be able to be together with more than one man in Paradise. For, if a woman were to be together with more than one man in Paradise, she would first be together with the men that she married in the world and that entered Paradise. Since it is stated that the woman will be the spouse of only one of those men, it is clear evidence that her marriage in Paradise will be only with that man.

(1) As a matter of fact, When Hz. Muawiya wanted to marry Ummud-Darda, whose husband died, she did not accept it and explained the reason as follows: Abu’d-Darda said to me, “The woman will marry her last husband in Paradise. Therefore, do not marry anybody else after me.”
