The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
Reciting the prayer of at-Tahiyyatu is wajib (very close to fard). Though not reciting this prayer does not invalidate the prayer, it will decrease its thawab (reward). Thus, it is necessary to memorize it as soon as possible.
