They say the Prophet changed the way of the army on the way to Makkah (proceeding for the Conquest of Makkah) when he saw a dog breastfeeding her puppies so as not to disturb her. Is it true?

The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
The Prophet (pbuh) saw a dog breastfeeding her puppies on the way to Makkah (proceeding for the Conquest of Makkah), called Juayl bin Suraqa and ordered him to guard the dog and her puppies during the movement of the army. (Waqidi, Maghazi, II, 225)
