Is it a sin if I carry a Mushaf (the Quran in Arabic) in my handbag?

Dear Brother / Sister,
It is permissible to carry the Quran in a handbag. It is also permissible to put a handbag in which there is a Mushaf on the ground. For, there is no disrespect in this act.
It is also permissible, that is, it is not a sin, to keep the Quran under the waist level and carry like that if the aim is not disrespect to the Quran.
