The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
Those who travel do not have to fast; they are regarded as musafir when they leave their homes for a journey. However, it is more virtuous for a musafir to fast. A musafir can prefer to fast or not fast based on his state.
If a musafir intends to stay fewer than fifteen days in a place, he does not have to fast there. However, if he intends to stay more than fifteen days or if he finds out that he has to stay more than fifteen days there, it becomes fard for him to fast.
