Do the sounds like "Ah, oh, uh" that are produced involuntarily while breathing due to tiredness in prayer invalidate wudu?

The Answer

Dear Brother / Sister,

If a person groans, says "ah!, oh!", cries and it is understood by others that he is crying due to the sounds he produces, his prayer is not invalidated if he produces them due to thinking about the hereafter. However, if he produces them due to a problem, illness or fatigue, his prayer is invalidated.

If a person cannot control himself while coughing in prayer and produces some words or syllables, his prayer is invalidated. However, if they are too quiet for others to hear, it is makruh but his prayer is permissible. If they occur involuntarily, it is decreed that his prayer is valid but it is necessary to be very careful about it. (1)

If a person puffs the dust on the place where he will place his forehead in prayer and if his sound is heard, his prayer is invalidated. If some syllables are hear from this puffing, his prayer is invalidated; it has to be performed again.

If a person coughs and produces some words and syllables or moans involuntarily, his prayer is not invalidated because it is not possible to stop it due to his excuse. (2)

If a person coughs slightly and produces some sounds in qira’ah to straighten his voice, his prayer is not invalidated. That is the sound view. If the imam makes a mistake and if a person following the imam coughs in order to warn the imam, his prayer is not invalidated. That is the sound view. (3)
