Science and man: Human eye sees two-three km. away when the weather is fine. He can hear limited sounds; he can even get lost in the course of time.
Science can see and hear millions of light years away with radio telescopes and electron telescopes. It means science is 1400 years ahead of human beings.
Dear Brother / Sister,
That science sees millions of light years away with telescopes does not mean that it lives 1400 years ahead of human beings. Besides the people who deal with science are also human beings.
Moreover, religion does not reject scientific facts; on the contrary, it accepts them. For, the sciences are the laws of Allah. For example, the law of gravity had existed before it was discovered; and it will exist after it was discovered.
Science does not invent new things; on the contrary, it discovers the system Allah placed in the universe.
The Quran mentions scientific facts in many verses. Science discovered them fourteen centuries later.
Today science accepts that the universe is expanding. This fact is expressed in the Quran as follows:
“With the power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of Space." (adh-Dhariyat, 51/47)
The word "sama (sky)" is used in the sense of space and universe in many places in the Quran. It is used in this sense in this verse too. That is, it is stated in the Quran that the universe is expanding. The conclusion science reached today is the same as the one stated in the Quran.
