Share
The Details of the Question
- When we read the translation of the Holy Quran from beginning to end, are we regarded to have performed a khatm al-Quran?
The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
Reading the Quran from a translation is also rewarding and this reward (thawab) can be donated to those who passed away. However, the reward for reading the Quran in Arabic is greater. Reading the Quran in its original language is not the same as reading a translation.
