If bleeding occurs in the mouth while performing a prayer and if a person swallows that blood, is prayer invalidated according to Hanafi and Shafii madhhabs?

- According to Hanafi madhhab, if the fluid blood coming out of the mouth is more than the saliva or equal to saliva, it invalidates wudu. The yellow water or pus coming out of a wound is regarded similarly. If it does not spread around the place it comes out, it does not invalidate wudu. However, if the blood or the pus leaves the place it comes out, it invalidates wudu. Accordingly, a Hanafi person needs to make wudu again if the fluid blood coming out of the mouth is more than the saliva or equal to saliva because it invalidates wudu. (see W. - According to Shafii madhhab, blood does not invalidate wudu. However, prayer is invalidated if a person swallows something molten like candy remaining between teeth or phlegm. (see W. Zuhayli, al-Fiqhul-Islami,2/14; Halil Günenç, Büyük Şafii İlmihali)
- In addition, according to Shafii madhhab, the blood coming out of the mouth invalidates prayer since it is dirty.
However, if this situation goes on like a chronic illness and the blood does not stop even for a period of time that is enough for performing a prayer, it means this person has an excuse. Even if the blood goes on to flow, he needs to make wudu when the time for a prayer starts and perform that prayer.
