Will you please give information about getting and not getting fayz (prosperity) from prayers that we perform? Which one is more superior?
Dear Brother / Sister,
Fayz (prosperity) is something which Allah gives. A person cannot form this on his own. Sometimes, the prayers which are performed by assuming that fayz is not gained may be more acceptable in the eye of Allah. Sometimes, the degree of a worship which is performed without spiritual prosperity against the wish of nafs (evil commanding soul) may be superior to a prayer which is performed with pleasure and enthusiasm. Getting pleasure from worships should not be an aim. The main purpose should be the order of Allah and a person should perform his duty and not intervene in Allah's act. If this were to be our aim, it will be like demanding the fruits of Paradise in this world. Such things should not be requested and aimed. They are given by Allah. A person can pray Allah in order to perform his/her prayer prosperously. However, he/she should not think that the prayer is not valid when he/she cannot receive fayz (prosperity).
