Dear Brother / Sister,
Subhanarabbiyal-azim means "My Lord who is great is away from all defects."
Subhanarabbiyal-a'la means "My Lord who is most high is away from all defects."
AZIM
It is one of Allah’s names.
It means great. Greatness belongs to Allah. Allah does not need anything and it is possible to see His greatness in anything that He created. A person who meditates on Allah’s greatness gets rid of heedlessness in the face of His greatness; his belief strengthens; he understands his weakness, poverty and mistakes. Allah shows the miracles of divine power in the Quran and tells people to take lessons by thinking about them. He who thinks about the orderliness of the realm, the purpose of creation, the boons and beauties that are granted, the temporariness of the world, the miracles in the animals that give milk and the cycle of day and night realizes Allah’s greatness when he sees how Allah equipped His slaves with His endless grants.
If all of the seas in the world were ink, they could not write all of the words that indicate the greatness of Allah. Human mind is too weak to understand Allah’s greatness. It can understand only His miracles. Unbelievers and polytheists do not understand; they are deaf, dumb and blind. (al-Baqara, 2/171) However, as it is stated in the verses, Muslims
"celebrate with praises the name of the Lord, the Supreme." (al-Waqia, 56/74, 96; al-Haqqa, 69/52) The greatness of Allah is stated as follows: in the chapter of al-Baqara: Allah! There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory)." (al-Baqara, 2/255)

ALIYY
“Al-Aliyy”, which is one of the beautiful names of Allah Almighty, means very high, lofty. Allah is over the whole universe. His highness does not resemble the height and dimensions of things. Allah is close to every atom in every point of the universe at the same rate. His being does not resemble the concept of closeness and remotes of things. There is no being superior to Allah. There is no being that is like Allah; He has no partners or assistants. Allah, who is high in all attributes of perfection, is free from time and place.
This word (aliyy), which expresses exaggeration and certainty, and which is an adjective, means “highness”. This word is used together with the names "Kabir", "al-Azim" and "Hakim" in the Quran more than the other names.
