The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
It is not permissible to eat the meat that is marinated with alcoholic drinks and cooked after that because the meat becomes impure when it remains in wine for a while. The following is stated in Haniyya: «If a cook pours wine into the saucepan instead of vinegar by mistake, that food becomes impure and it cannot be cleaned forever.»
If vinegar is poured into the meat to clean it and if it is left until all of it transforms into vinegar, it is permissible. (Ibn Abidin, Raddul Muhtar)
