The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
It is regarded as an excuse for a person who is performing a nafilah fasting to be invited to a feast. Such a person can break his fast if the host insists.
There is no certain criterion for the question "When is it better to break fasting?". It depends on the conditions, environment and the state of the person who invites. It can be better to break in some cases and not to break in other cases.
There is no drawback to breaking nafilah fasting in such cases. However, if a nafilah fasting is broken due to any reason, it becomes wajib to perform it again.
