Did Allah give the Prophet authority in the Quran related to determining the rules of the religion?

The Answer

Dear Brother / Sister,

Allah states the following in the Quran:

"…So take what the Messenger assigns to you, and deny yourselves that which he withholds from you…" (al-Hashr, 59/7)

Allah informed His slaves about everything necessary for their worshiping in the Quran and the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) explained them in the best way to people.

It is definitely stated in the Quran that the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) does not say anything of his own desire and that speaks based on the revelation sent down to him. His Sunnah is a part and explainer of the shari’ah Allah imposed and a living implementer of it. For, to obey the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) means to obey Allah.

According to the statement of the Quran, the existence and non-existence of belief is based on obeying and following the religion of Allah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh).
