The Bible states that no other prophet will come. How do you explain it?

The Details of the Question

“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves… By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit… A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit… Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire… Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.” (Bible-Matthew Chapter 7, Verses: 15-20)

The Answer

Dear Brother / Sister,

Nowhere in the Bible is it stated that there will be no prophet after Jesus.

On the other hand, the Bible gives the following criterion for recognizing those who claim to be prophets:

“Look at the fruit and distinguish between the liar and the truthful...”

If there were no prophets to come after Jesus, he could have settled the issue very simply by saying, “There will be no prophet after me, and whoever claims to be a prophet after me is a liar.”

In other words, the method of distinguishing between a true and a false prophet suggested by Jesus is in itself sufficient evidence that there will be a prophet after Jesus (pbuh).

The fact that there will be a prophet after Jesus is also sufficient evidence for the prophethood of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) because such a wonderful fruit as the formation of communities that came after Jesus (pbuh) and believed in Allah, trusted in Allah, loved Allah and abandoned idols was achieved only thanks to the religion sent through our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

In addition, in many places in the Bible, a prophet whom Jesus foretold would come after him and whom he asked to be followed is mentioned.
