Alternatives of nawafil that we promised Allah we would pray but couldnt?
Back in my exams I prayed Allah 3 years back, that if I get good grades I'll pray 100 nawafil Though I did got good grades in exams, but for some reason couldnt pray the nawafil and even if I did, my sixth sense would always say that these nawafil are not accepted. so I wanted to ask if there is any alternative to these nawafil? Like maybe i could do some charitu or anything that would cound the same of praying nawafil? or do I have to pray them and there is no other way out? Plus if I don't pray will that be considered as a sin or no?
Dear Brother / Sister,
Since you promised to perform these prayers, you must perform them.
However, you do not have to perform all these prayers immediately. You can complete them over two months by performing two rak‘ahs each day. In this way, you will also develop the habit of performing voluntary prayers.
