The Details of the Question
- Can women perform prayers with the clothes speared by some leakage (not sperm) anywhere?
The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
When there is a leakage in the period of menstruation, women do not perform prayers.
A person who has leakage of istihada is regarded as excused; therefore, this leakage does not prevent a woman from performing prayers. The leakage of istihada that occurs outside menstruation period is regarded as najasah ghalizah (heavy impurity); therefore, when it reaches the amount of exemption, prayers cannot be performed with those clothes.
