Is it true that the urine that splashes on us (even if involuntarily) is one of the reasons for torture in the grave?
Dear Brother / Sister,
It is stated in hadiths that most of the torture in the grave is caused by urine sprinkles. Therefore, not avoiding urine sprinkles and not paying attention to it cause torture in the grave.
However, it is hoped that Allah will forgive a person on whom urine splashes involuntarily and who does his best to avoid urine sprinkles. Allah never places a responsibility on a person greater than he can bear.
The following was reported from Ibn Abbas:
The Prophet (pbuh) came across with two graves. He said,
"These two people in the graves are tortured due to something that is not paid attention by people. One of them is being tortured because he did not act carefully after urinating and did not avoid impurity and the other because he committed talebearing and sowed discord among people."
Then, the Prophet picked a green branch and divided it into two; he planted each of them into their graves. (The people around him said,)
"O Messenger of Allah! Why did you do so?" The Prophet (pbuh) said,
"I did so because I hope that their torture will be decreased as they remain there green." (Bukhari Janaiz, 82; Muslim, Iman, 34; Abu Dawud, Taharah, 26)
