Do we get any rewards for the prayers that become invalidated at the moment we remember we have no wudu?

The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
- According to the hadiths meaning “There is no prayer without wudu” and the general principle stated by fiqh resources regarding the issue, there is no reward for that person.
In fact, it is a sin to perform prayers without wudu but the advantage of this person due to the excuse of forgetting is not having a sin – or a reward.
- However, Allah might give some rewards to that person for his worship of prayer if He wishes.
- Note: When a person remembers that he has no wudu, he makes wudu and performs that prayer again before the time period for that prayer is over; if it is over, he performs it as qada.
