When was Hasan, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), born?
Share
In the third year of the Hijra (the Muslims emigration from Mecca to Medina), an event that pleased the Noble Prophet (PBUH) took place. His grandson, Hasan, was born. Among his grandsons, Hasan resembled him most. Hence, Fatima always called him, My dear child who resembles his grandfather most. (1)
The Beloved Prophet (PBUH) loved Hasan and Hussein very much. At times, he carried them on his shoulders and said, They are my sweet basils whom I smell in the world. (2)
Again, he sometimes took Hasan on his shoulder and prayed to God Almighty, O my Lord! I love him. You love him too! And love those who love him! (3)
