Is there a difference between prayer (dua) and an-Nas or al-Falaq?

- The Quran is eloquent and it is the nature of the challenge of the Quran. How are prayers (duas) such as the ‘travel prayer’ different from Quranic prayers, such as the chapter of an-Nas?

The Answer

The most important means for prayers (duas) to be accepted is the person’s being sincere, knowing his place and being away from imprudence; it is essential for the prayer to be said be one of the prayers mentioned in the verses of the Quran and hadiths.

There is no doubt that the words of Allah are more eloquent than the words of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and believing so is a requirement of belief.

However, evaluating the prayers in the Quran and the prayers in the hadiths in terms of literature, eloquence and fluency is beyond us.

We should not forget that Allah, who has infinite knowledge, wisdom and power, does not evaluate anyone’s prayers by looking at their eloquence and literature.

No literary art is a surprise to Allah. Therefore, it is important to pray by saying the prayers both in the verses of the Quran and hadiths.

However, every prayer has a place and occasion. Choosing the prayer according to the occasion is the most suitable one for eloquence, “which is conformity with the necessities of the current state”...
