Is it a sin for a woman to be a class monitor?
- The place where I study is an institute where male and female students coexist. I was the class monitor from the very beginning.
- I am a girl and I have two male monitors with me. I have to speak very loudly to control the class. I do not want to do it, but the teachers and everyone force me.
- I do not know what to do; it has been going on for 2 years.

Dear Brother / Sister,
A woman’s speaking voice is not haram for men.
A woman can work without being alone in a closed area with a non-mahram man by paying attention to her hijab, avoiding mixing with men and maintaining her seriousness. If she talks to men only as much as necessary, she will have avoided mixing with men.
Provided that you comply with these rules, you should do your job in places where men are present in accordance with your speaking voice.
You need to act in accordance with the role model of a Muslim lady; thus, you will be protected from sin and fulfill your duty of conveying and representing Islam.
