Dear Brother / Sister,
The people who have no share from the hereafter and whose hearts are dark like bats will definitely try to hamper Islam, which tries to enable everybody to attain eternal bliss and which is fully luminous light. This has been the case since the time of Hz. Adam. As Badiuzzaman Said Nursi puts it,
“Islam is like the sun; it cannot be put out by blowing. It is like daylight; it does not turn to night when one closes his eyes. A person who closes his eyes makes it night only for himself.”
“In the future when science and technology will be dominant, only the Quran, which has all of its issues determined by science, will be dominant.”
“Be hopeful! Among the revolutions in the future, the most sonorous sound will be the sound of Islam.”
That is what our great scholars say. Therefore, do not give so much importance to the problems of today. Regard those problems to be within the development of Islam. Wind and winter do not seem pleasant but spring and flowers that follow are nice things. These incidents are like wind and winter. They are servants for the fruits and flowers of Islam.
As for the issue of Islam being forbidden in the world, Islam is a religion that is practiced. If a person practices Islam somewhere, Islam exists there. For instance, performing prayers is an order of Islam; it is mentioned in more than one hundred places in the Quran. If a person performs prayers, it means he is practicing Islam. So, fulfilling Islam’s orders and avoiding its prohibitions means practicing (living) Islam.
Therefore, Islam is being practiced throughout the world. And the number of those who practice it will increase inshallah.
Some prophets came and very few people believed in them; however, they received the reward of the prophethood fully. Our duty is to practice Islam and to tell people about Islam. It is not our duty to force people to accept Islam. Our duty is to practice Islam and to convey its message to people in a nice and effective way.
