Are there hadiths and evidences about bleeding invalidating wudu?

The Details of the Question

In Hanafi fiqh, when blood comes out, wudu and prayer are invalidated but there are hadiths showing the opposite. For instance, we see in a hadith that Hz. Umar performed the morning prayer while blood was coming out of his wound and he did not abandon the prayer. Does it not show that Hanafi ijtihad is wrong?

The Answer

Dear Brother / Sister,

There are evidences about blood invalidating wudu in Hanafi madhhab:

Hz. Prophet (pbuh) said,

"It is necessary to make wudu because of the blood that comes out." (Daraqutni reported from Tamim ad-Dari.)

"If a person vomits in prayer or blood comes out of his nose, he needs to leave the prayer and make wudu. If he does not speak, he can come and resume his prayer." [Ibn Majah reported it from Hz. Aisha.]
