The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
It is haram in our religion to kill a sound or disabled person whether he/she is unborn (living in the womb) or born.
If the life of the pregnant woman is at risk unless her womb is curetted, curettage becomes permissible.
If there is more than one child in the womb, it is not permissible to kill one of them in order to save the other or to ensure that the other one is born healthy. The one that dies spontaneously is removed. (Prof. Dr. Hayrettin Karaman)
