If mazi comes when a person has wudu but if it does not come out of the cotton, is his wudu invalidated? Is prayer invalidated if mazi comes when he is performing a prayer?

The Answer

Dear Brother / Sister,

Mazi invalidates wudu; therefore, prayer is also invalidated.

If the cotton a man puts in the urinary tract in order to stop the leakage of urine comes out or is taken out later, wudu is invalidated. The decree does not change whether there is wetness on the cotton or not. If the cotton is not put fully but partly into the urinary tract, wudu is not invalidated if the part that is outside has no leakage even if the part inside is wet. However, if the cotton is taken out or falls spontaneously, it invalidates wudu even if there is very little wetness on it.

If the cloth or cotton put inside or outside a woman's genital organ, her wudu is invalidated when it comes out or taken out wet. If the inner part of the cotton put outside the genital organ gets wet, wudu is invalidated. It does not matter whether the outer part of the cotton is wet or not. If the inner part of the cotton put inside the organ gets wet, it does not invalidate wudu; wudu is invalidated when the outer part also gets wet.
