The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
It is stated in fiqh that it is makruh even to perform prayers in a place (vineyard, orchard, field) that a person enters without permission. It is not permissible to collect the crops left in a field without getting permission from the owner of the field or without knowing that people are customarily allowed to collect the crops that are left in the field.
Accordingly, if it is customarily allowed by the people of that region and if they do not mind when people collect the crops that are left in the field, it is permissible. The money earned from it is halal. Otherwise, it is not permissible and the money earned from it is haram.
