The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
It is permissible to read two chapters in a rak'ah. However, if one or a few chapters are skipped between two chapters, it becomes makruh. Nevertheless, it is better not to read two chapters in fard prayers.
Basmala is not said when two chapters are read one after the other.
