Why does Allah not show us proof?
- Allah did not show us any proof, did He?
- In other words, no miracles have occurred since the invention of the camera. Now, when we ask for proof, how can we believe? You say that if Allah had given proof, everyone would have believed. It is not like that; everyone will go to Paradise; what matters is to believe like that, etc.
- However, the stick in the hand of the Prophet Musa (Moses) turned into a snake. Now think about it; if you had been there in front of the Prophet Musa, when you saw that stick turn into a snake, you would have become a Muslim at once. It is a great miracle; you say Allah exists. How do you think this stick will turn into a snake?
- I mean, Allah sent a great proof for the people there to believe; so, why did He not send it to us? Is it not injustice?
- Whoever sees the stick turn into a snake in front of his eyes believes in Allah. If I am to go to Hell because I do not believe in Allah, is my only fault not being there when Moses turned his stick into a snake?
- If I had been there, I would have definitely believed...
Dear Brother / Sister,
- First of all, we should state that Allah has shown us such proofs that He does not deprive those who strive to learn the truth of reading and understanding at least some of those proofs.
Man himself is the greatest proof.
We think he who views the material and spiritual equipment of man, who is a work of art, with meditation will not have difficulty in finding out that Allah has infinite knowledge, power and wisdom as long as he has knowledge, which is the material of meditation, and does not become a prisoner of prejudice fanatic...
It is up to man to have such belief and wisdom from the perspective of all other beings.
- Secondly, you say, “If I had seen a miracle like the staff of Moses, I would have believed immediately”.
Your thought is not accurate. The biggest proof that it is not accurate is the fact that no one except a few people believed among those who saw the miracle in question.
“Said the Chiefs of the people of Pharaoh: ‘This is indeed a sorcerer well- versed.” (al-Araf, 7/109)
“Said the chiefs of Pharaoh’s people: “Wilt thou leave Moses and his people, to spread mischief in the land, and to abandon thee and thy gods?” He said: “Their male children will we slay; (only) their females will we save alive; and we have over them (power) irresistible.” (al-Araf, 7/127)
This fact is underlined in the verses above and similar ones.
As a matter of fact, throughout history, thousands of people who did not believe despite seeing the miracles of the prophets were destroyed.
It is written in sound hadith, biography and historical sources that the last prophet, Muhammad (pbuh), showed hundreds of miracles. Despite this, his uncle Abu Lahab, who was his closest relative, did not believe. It shows that it is unfair to say that everyone who sees the miracles of the prophets will believe, and to think that it is unfair that we do not see these miracles is also unfair.
- However, along with knowing the miracles seen by the ancient tribes and the miracles of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), most of today’s people are deniers though they see dozens of ontological miracles that have started to be seen throughout the universe thanks to technology and positive sciences/sciences, which shows that miracles alone are not enough for belief because, both the transmitting and receiving center must work well for a communication system to work perfectly. When the receiving station is distorted, no matter how perfect its transmitter is, you cannot prevent noises from interfering. Satan’s delusions, blind feelings, and the evil-commanding soul are the biggest causes of interference.
- The greatest truth is that the Quran, which is a miracle in forty aspects, is a miracle greater than all the miracles that we always have and that we see with our eyes.
Material miracles are local, temporal and historical miracles.
The Quran, on the other hand, is the only miracle that performs this function up to the Day of Judgment with its spiritual-mental, universal, timeless and spaceless features.
Therefore, those who sincerely try to strengthen their belief try to read and understand it. For those like us who do not have that capacity, there are thousands of tafsir sources proving that the Quran is a visible miracle; we learn from them.
It is possible to strengthen our belief with reported and rational evidence, especially by reading the works of Risale-i Nur, present its messages to the understanding of the century as a true and spiritual interpretation of the Quran.
The fact that the majority of those who read Risale-i Nur have strong belief is an indication of this truth.
