The Details of the Question
Aslamalikum,
I am a practising muslim woman and I've always wanted to pursue a career to be a midwife. Is it permissible for a Muslim woman who wears abaya to become a midwife. Also in todays society in the western world the non-mahram of the woman giving brith is present, is it permissible for a muslim woman to be present at the same time while assisting the birth and for medical reasons they have to roll their sleeves up revealing their arms?
I would really apreciate your answers. Submitted by on Thu, 03/09/2009 - 02:19
