The Answer
Dear Brother / Sister,
1. It is permissible to have a share in an animal sacrificed in eid al-adha for vow, aqiqa etc.
2. Vows are sacrificed for something worldly but they are sacrificed with the name of Allah; therefore, they can be included in the shares of the sacrificed animals. However, all of the shares must have the intention of sacrifice. It is not permissible if one of the shares has the intention of meat.
3. A person who has vowed to sacrifice an animal, his children, his family and his parents cannot eat from the share of the vow. However, they can eat from the meat of the other shares.
