It is stated in verse 17 of the chapter of Nuh that Allah produces people from the earth growing. Will you explain it?
Dear Brother / Sister,
"And Allah has produced you from the earth growing (gradually); "´And in the End He will return you into the (earth), and raise you forth (again at the Resurrection)." (Nuh, 71/17 and18)
The explanation of the Verses
"Allah's producing people from the earth growing" is interpreted in two ways:
a) It indicates that Hz. Adam, man’s ancestor, was created from soil.
b) The creation and development of man is likened to plants’ being produced from the earth since the organic and inorganic food necessary for the development and survival of man is taken from soil directly or indirectly. (Ibn Ashur, XXIX, 204)
It is stated in the verse that man will be returned to the earth, where he belongs, with his body and that he will be removed from the earth again to life; thus, it is indicated that he should not forget his otherworldly responsibility. (see Diyanet Tefsiri, Kur’an Yolu:V/391.)
