1-) The fact that the Quran does not have any mistakes and contradictions proves that it is the book of Allah.

The Quran being free of any mistakes and contradictions

The fact that the Quran does not have any mistakes and contradictions proves that it is the book of Allah.

The Quran is a miracle of language.

You cannot see any traces of confusion in the Quran though it contains all kinds of beauties related to speech and style, all kinds of lofty expressions, all high principles regarding ethics, all laws about the universe, the essence of exact sciences, the index of the divine knowledge and the unknown news about the past and the future.

If the verses of the Quran are examined carefully and justly, it will be seen that it is not a chain of ideas that follows one or two ideas like the other books.

The fact that the Quran does not have any confusion and contradictions despite having so much different and detailed knowledge proves that the Quran is definitely not the work of a person who cannot read and write.

In fact, no human work can be free of mistakes and errors no matter at what level it is.

The Arab writers, orators and scholars of rhetoric and the literature critics who tried to show the characteristics of their words scrutinized the Quran meticulously like a jeweler who is trying gold by a touchstone for centuries and they agreed that it is free of mistakes and contradictions and that a human cannot possibly write such a book.

Do they not ponder on the Qur'an (with care)? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much discrepancy.”(an-Nisa: 82)

2-) Can a book of 600 hundred pages be memorized?

Can a book of 600 hundred pages be memorized?

Is it possible to memorize a book of 600 hundred pages?

Is it possible for a book of 600 hundred pages to be memorized literally word by word?

Do you think that it is possible for a book of 600 pages to be memorized literallyword by word?

Suppose that this book were written in a language that you do not know.

Moreover, suppose that it contains many similar sentences and words that can cause confusion in almost all of its pages.

Probably, a person must be a genius in order to memorize such a book.

What would you say if you were to see that such a book can easily be memorized by little children?

Possibly you would say; “There is something strange with these children; they are either genius or “There is a mystery in that book; that is, it is not an ordinary book.” And suppose that you saw that these children could not memorize even a very short poem written in their own language. Would you have any doubt that this book is miraculous?

There is no book on the earth that is memorized literally, word by word, by millions and that is read by millions of people all the time except the Qur’an!

Yes, while a little child at the age of 7-8 cannot memorize a poem in his/her native language, he/she can memorize the Qur’an which has 600 pages easily though he/she does not know Arabic, cannot understand its meaning and there is a possibility of confusing because of the resemblances of its verses as well as the origin of the Arabic letters of the Qur’an. They do not confuse any verse with another.

The fact that the Quran is memorized even by a child, that he does not find it difficult, that millions of hafizes have it in their memories and that it is read by millions of people all the time prove that the Quran is the word of Allah.

3-) With the Approval of the Philosophers of this Age, the Quran is the word of Allah.

The Foreign Philosophers and Scientists who Appreciate the Perfection of the Quran

All of the clean consciences and benign natures approve that the Quran is the word of Allah. For, the heart becomes peaceful and the conscience becomes satisfied only through the light of the Quran. The nature of man addresses the Quran with the tongue of disposition as follows: “The perfection of our nature cannot be without you.”

When a person who has a clear conscience sees the truth, he tells the truth; he cannot support falsehood. Besides, the purpose of such a person is to find the truth. Even if such people belong to other religions, they do not hesitate to tell the truth.

“When the enemy not the friend approves something, it means it is perfect.”In this chapter, we will quote some of the views of foreign philosophers and thousands of renowned scientists about the Quran and its laws. With their views, they become live witnesses for the truthfulness of the Quran.

Prince Bismarck’s Statement;

The Words of Prince Bismarck on the Quran

“O Muhammad! I truly regret not being your contemporary.

Scrutinizing heavenly books, which are said to be sent by Allah to manage people in various eras, I could have seen no wisdom and accuracy. Those laws are not eligible to ensure happiness of society, even not a family.

However, Muslims’ Quran is free from this description. I scrutinized the Quran in every aspect. I observed the great wisdom in each word of it. Even though enemies of Muslims claim that this book is Muhammad’s word, claiming that such a wonderful will arose from the most perfect brain means just ignoring the truth and winking at hatred and grudge which is incompatible with enlightenment and wisdom.

I claim that Muhammad is a distinguished power. It is far out of possibility to bring up such a hand of power again.

O Muhammad! I’m sad that I’m not in your time. The book you are the teacher of and publisher of, is not yours. It is divine.

Denying its divinity is as ridiculous as claiming that science is fallacious.

That is why humanity will not see a distinguished powerful person like you once more. I bend the knee of a deep reverence in your presence.”

The Words of Dr. Maurice on the Quran

Dr. Maurice, a famous orientalist, an expert on Arabic literature and a translator of the Quran, stated the following:

Only the sound that arose from the Mount Hira of Arabia was able to save Byzantine Christians from the blind alley of wrong beliefs that they were in. This sound elevated the divine word to the highest rank. However, the Byzantines could not hear this sound. This sound taught people the cleanest and truest religion.

What is the Quran? It is a miracle of rhetoric and fluency. The virtue of the Quran that makes one billion Muslims feel proud is the fact that it is the best heavenly book in terms of expressing every meaning. No. We can move further!

The Quran is the best book that is granted to man by the eternal help of the nature. The statements of the Quran are superior to the statements of the Greek philosophy from the point of view of the welfare of man. The Quran is full of praising and thanking the Creator of the world and the sky.

The Words of Mr. John Davenport on the Quran

Mr John Davenport's Statement

John Davenport states the following while mentioning the Quran in his book called "An Apology for Mohammed and the Koran":

Among many excellencies of which the Quran may justly boast are two eminently conspicuous:

1. The tone of awe and reverence which it always observes when speaking of, or referring to, the Deity, to Whom it never attributes human frailties and passions;

2. The total absence throughout it of all impure, immoral and indecent ideas, expressions, narratives, etc., blemishes.

However, these deficiencies occur frequently in the distorted Bible that the Christians have today.

The Words of Thomas Carlyleon the Quran

Carlyle's Statement

Carlyle states the following:

"Once you read the Quran carefully, you’ll realize its emerging unique features. The Quran’s own beauty is totally distinguished from other literary works; it is unique. One of distinguishing features of the Quran is that it has not been falsified.

In my opinion and conclusion, the Quran is full of truth and sincerity from the beginning to the end. The Prophet Muhammad’s invitation to the world is the truth."

The Words of Edward Gibbon on the Quran

Edward Gibbon:

Edward Gibbon, one of the most famous and greatest historians of England, states the following in his book called“the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire”:

From the Atlantic to the Ganges, the Quran is acknowledged as the fundamental code of civil and criminal jurisprudence.

There is no difference between a mighty king and a poor person in the eye of the Quran. There exists such a jurisprudence based on those principles that it has no equivalence in the world.

The principles of Islam reject trinity, the creed that Allah has a body and the creed of the unity of existence. The Quran is free from confusions and ambiguities like that.

The Quran is the strongest evidence of the oneness of Allah. Islam is maybe a religion much more supreme than we think today."

The Words of Marmaduke Pickthall on the Quran

Marmaduke Pickthall:

"A perfect book of “ethics law” can be formed by principles that are taught in the Quran and notified by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

It is impossible to deny that the principles of the Quran do favor for people in various countries and attach people who wish to be close, to Allah.

Only the Quran could perfectly describe the truth of the Creator and created ones. Not only Muslims, but Christians and Jewish admit it, too."

The Words of Louvasonne on the Quran

Louvasonne's Statement

Louvasonne:

That is, there is no problem among the problems that are settled by the help of scientific discoveries or science and knowledge that contradicts the principles of Islam!

Unlike our efforts that we exert in order to harmonize our Christianity with natural laws, there is full harmony between the Quran and its instructions and natural laws. The Quran is a book that deserves all kinds of respect.

The Words of Corsele on the Quran

Corsele:

"The Quran is the most perfect and excellent work of the Arabic. According to the creed of Muslims, this miraculous work cannot be introduced by mankind.

The Quran itself is an enduring miracle and such a miracle that it is more supreme than resurrecting dead bodies. This holy book itself is enough to prove that it is originally heavenly.

Based on this miracle, Muhammad asked to be recognized as a prophet. Enlightening the Arabian bare and barren deserts, and defying poets and preachers, the Quran insisted for an equivalent of a verse of the Quran but there has been no one paying in kind."

The Words of Rodwell on the Quran

Rodwell:

Having translated and organized the verses of the Quran chronologically, Rodwell, one of the most conservative priests of England, confesses the following truths:

The Quran changed the ordinary Bedouins of Arabia so much that you would think they were fascinated.

Even if we deny, according to the Christian belief, that the Quran is a book revealed by God, it became a divine grace and bounty for Arabs because it eliminated idolatry, established the belief of oneness of Allah, abolished worshipping jinn, fairies and stones, abolished wild customs like burying children alive and eliminated all superstitions. The Quran is, therefore, worthy of all kinds of praise.

The Words of Jochahim on the Quran

Jochahim:

The Quranic verses that illuminate the character of the Prophet of Islam are perfect and very effective. Some verses express the ethical rules of Islam.

However, these rules are not limited to one or two chapters. Injustice, telling lies, greed, extravagance, prostitution, treason and backbiting are all forbidden by the Quran severely and they are described as disgrace.

On the other hand, having goodwill, doing favors to others, chastity, modesty, tolerance, patience, perseverance, economy, honesty, straightforwardness, loving peace, acting rightfully, trust in and reliance on God Almighty more than anyone else and obedience to Allah are regarded among the real principles of belief and as the main attributes of a Muslim. The Messenger of Allah is a symbol of perception and consciousness.

You have heard some of the views of Western philosophers on the Quran. If we quote the views of all philosophers, they will form volumes of books. We have shown you only a drop from the ocean.

Is it at all possible for so many philosophers and scientists to be wrong? Is it at all possible for them to regard a book which is full of superstitions - God forbid - as a book of truth? It is impossible. Then, there is only one option left: The Quran is the book of Allah.

4-) The Quran does not bore people.

The verses of the Quran do not bore people but give pleasure even if they are repeated thousands of times.

How many times can you read a book that you like very much?3 times? 5 times? 10 times?

How many days on end can you eat a dish that you like very much?  3 days? 5 days? Or 10 days?

Yes, even the sweetest and most pleasant things bore people when they are repeated.

However, the Quran has such sweetness that repetition, which causes people to feel bored, increases the pleasure of the people whose hearts have not decayed and whose pleasure has not been destroyed when they read the Quran let alone making them bored; this fact is approved by everybody. Yes, the verses of the Quran do not make people feel bored even if they are repeated thousands of times; on the contrary, they give pleasure.

A Muslim reads the chapter of al-Fatiha 40 times a day in prayers. He reads the same chapter 14.600 times a year and more than 1.000.000 times in his life. He reads it with excitement every time he reads it as if it has just been revealed and as if he is reading it for the first time.

No book other than the Quran has this property.

A book that has this exceptional property and that is read by millions of people at any moment cannot be the word of a human being by any means. No human word can be so effective. Then, the Quran is the word of Allah.

5-) Saints and sciences, which are the fruits of the Quran, prove that the Quran is the word of Allah.

Saints and sciences, which are the fruits of the Quran

Saints and sciences, which are the fruits of the Quran, prove that the Quran is the word of Allah.

If we liken the Quran to a tree, the branches represent the centuries, and the fruits and flowers represent the saints and the great scholars that lived in that century.

If a tree has fruits and flowers, we know that it is alive. Nobody can claim that a tree that has thousands of fruits and flowers is dead. For, when such a claim is uttered, each fruit and flower will say, “Look at us; our life comes from the life of the tree. We feed on the roots of our tree; then, our tree is alive." Therefore, in order to deny the life of the tree, it is necessary to deny the life of the fruits and to refute their statement. A person who cannot deny the life of the fruit and the flower cannot deny the life of the tree, either.

Similarly, a person who cannot deny the saints and scholars, who are the fruits of the tree of the Quran, cannot deny the Quran, which is the tree of those fruits, either.

Therefore, if we utter the following sentence, it is true: “The Quran is the word of Allah because Abdulqadir Ghaylani has so much perfection that the non-Muslims who lived in the same age as him said, 'We do not accept Islam but we cannot deny Abdulqadir.'"

That is, we can use the perfection of Abdulqadir Ghaylani as evidence that the Quran is the true word of Allah. For, he is a student of the Quran.

The perfection and karamahs in him originated from the root of the Quran. If it were not the word of Allah - God forbid - the fruits in this tree would not appear. Since they appear, the Quran is definitely the word of Allah.

Then, all of the saints and great scholars that lived during the last fourteen centuries prove that the Quran is the book of Allah with their karamahs, knowledge, nice attributes and lifestyles that show the truth.

A person who cannot deny them all cannot deny the Quran, which is their luminous tree.

They cannot deny even one of them, Abdulqadir Ghaylani; how can they deny all of them?

All of the true sciences of Islam prove that the Quran is the word of Allah.

If we liken the Quran to a tree again, true sciences of Islam like fiqh, fiqh method, tafsir, kalam, aqaid and tasawwuf are the fruits of that tree.

Can we doubt the life of a tree that has so many true fruits on its branches?

In order to deny the life of a tree, it is necessary to deny its fruits, which are the signs of its life, first; a person who cannot deny the fruits cannot deny the tree, either.

Similarly, in order to be able to criticize the Quran and to deny the life of this luminous tree, it is necessary to deny the true sciences of Islam, which are like its fruits.

It is impossible because each science is based on sound rules, mental evidence and logical rules. It takes years to learn only one of those sciences. Only genius people can be experts in one or two of them.

Is it at all possible that the Quran, whose fruits are true sciences like that, can be the work of an illiterate person and all of those true sciences originate from it? It is impossible. Then, with the witnessing of these sciences, which are the fruits of the Quran, the Quran is the word and holy book of Allah.

6-) The fact that the style of the Quran and hadiths is different from each other proves that the Quran is the word of Allah.

The person who brought the Quran from Allah and the person who conveyed it to us is the same person, our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The Quran came from him and hadiths came from him, too.

However, if attention is paid, it will be seen that there is a big difference between the divine words that the Prophet (pbuh) conveyed as the Quran and the hadiths that belong to him.

One does not have to be a scholar in order to understand this difference. Those who compare the style of the Quran and that of the hadith will easily see that there is an obvious difference between them.

If the Quran were the words of a human being as those who deny it claim, the style of the hadiths of the Prophet and that of the hadiths would have to be different.

However, the fact that the style of the Quran does not resemble that of the hadiths and that the statements of the Quran are superior to all statements show that the Quran is not the word of the Prophet but the word of Allah, who made him a prophet and revealed the Quran to him.

7-) The unmatched revolution the Quran made in the world proves that the Quran is the word of Allah.

The Quran is the word of Allah with the witnessing of the changes and revolutions it made.

Think of a great king. How long would it take him to eliminate smoking, which is a small habit, in a small community by making a great effort?

You would probably answer this question as "Even if he tried for centuries, he would not be able to be fully successful; he would not be able to get everyone to stop smoking."

However, Hz. Muhammad (pbuh) was not a king and he was weak but he had a divine letter, the glorious Quran, in his hand.

Look at the unmatched revolution this divine book made in the world.

Let alone a small habit like smoking, he managed to eliminate widespread customs and beliefs in not a small community but a very large stubborn community where people were strongly adherent to their customs without forcing them and by making a small effort and in a very short time; he replaced those customs with high ethics, which was done through the reflection of the Quran in the hearts.

The Quran has made so luminous, nice and truthful revolutions and has changed the social life of human beings so much that it is unprecedented.

It has also made so many changes in the souls, hearts, spirits, minds, personal and political lives of human beings that it elevated man from the lowest of the low to the highest of the high; it has made man a perfect man.

Among those revolutions, let us have a look at the revolution it made in hearts and see only one of the examples of this revolution out of millions:

Those who used to bury their daughters alive in the Era of Ignorance avoided hurting even an ant after they became Muslims.

Although they were so stone hearted as to bury their own daughters alive, what made them avoid stepping on an ant? How did their hearts become filled with mercy? What caused this change in them?

The Quran did.

Now let us compare this with the revolutions the Quran made in millions of hearts. Then, let us think about the changes it made in hearts, souls, spirits, minds, personal life, political life and social life. Then, let us ask ourselves this question:

Is it ever possible for such a book that made such great revolutions to be the word of a human being but not the word of Allah?  It is impossible. For, no book written by a human being has been able to make even one percent of these revolutions.

Then, by the witnessing of the changes and the revolutions the Quran made in hearts, souls, spirits, minds, personal life, political life and social life, the Quran is the word of Allah.

8-) The Quran does not resemble any human word.

There were two reasons why people wanted to write a book that is similar to the Quran:

One of them was the ambition of its enemies to write in order to oppose it and to criticize it; the other was the desire of its friends to imitate it.

Two reasons, one of which arose from enmity and the other from love. Millions of Arabic books have been written due to these two reasons; they are available now but none of them resembles the Quran. Anyone, whether he is knowledgeable or ignorant, who looks at the Quran and the other Arabic books will definitely say, “The Quran does not resemble them. It is not at the same level as them.” Then, there are two possibilities:

1-The Quran is below the level of these books.

2-It is above the level of all those books.

The first option is definitely wrong with the agreement of both its friends and enemies. Even Satan cannot claim it. If it were below the level of those books, nobody would try to imitate it.

Then, it is necessary to accept the second option. The Quran is superior to all of the other books. This superiority proves that the Quran is the word of Allah.

9-) The Polytheists Feel too Weak to do Anything When they are Challenged by the Quran.

Weakness when faced by the challenge of the Quran

The Polytheists Feel too Weak to do Anything When they are Challenged by the Quran

In the age when the Quran was sent down, Arabs were at the peak of rhetoric, that is, the art of speaking. Poetry and literature were so much in demand that competitions were held every year and the poem that came first was written in gold and hung on the wall of the Kaaba. The Quran was sent down in such an age; it challenged all geniuses of literature and rhetoric in 8 levels.

Before moving to the issue of challenging at 8 levels, we are looking for an answer to the following question: If somebody claimed, "Nobody can lift this stone" and if you wanted to refute this person, would you try to lift that stone or would you try to fight that person? Suppose that this person had supporters. If you chose to fight, you would face a lot of dangers and risk your property and life. Would you choose to fight, which is the long and tiring way, when it was possible to refute his claim by lifting the stone that he claimed to be "impossible to lift"? Nobody who is sane would prefer the second way.

Suppose that you saw that nobody preferred lifting the stone in order to refute his claim and everybody preferred fighting him although they received a lot of harms. They did not prefer lifting the stone, which is the easy way, despite the harms. If you saw this situation, you would probably say the claim of this person that nobody could lift this stone is right. For, if his enemies were able to lift the stone, they would prefer the easy way and refute his claim. They preferred the longer and harder way. It means the short way, lifting the stone, is impossible.

Similarly, our Prophet (pbuh) made a claim. His claim was, "This Quran is the word of Allah." He challenged those who denied in 8 levels showing them ways of refuting his cause easily. This challenging in 8 levels is as follows:

The Prophet (pbuh) challenged through the verses of the Quran as follows:

1- If you have any doubts that this Quran is the word of Allah, that is, if you claim that I have written this book, find an illiterate person like me and make him write a book like this. If I have written this book, any illiterate person can also write it. Let him write it and bring it here.

When the polytheists could not answer this challenge, he challenged them in the 2nd level:

Since an illiterate person like me cannot write a book like this, find a person who can read and write. Let him be a scholar and a master of literature. Let him write a book like the Quran…

The writers and orators of that age had to keep silent when they were faced by this challenge; they could not write a book like the Quran.

Then the challenge in the 3rd level by the Quran took place:

Since you could not write a book like that alone, come together, invite all of your writers and poets and make use of your previous books. You can even ask your deities that you rely on very much to help you in order to write a book like the Quran.

The polytheists kept silent at this level, too and could not produce a book like the Quran. The Quran challenged them as follows in the 4th level:

Since you cannot produce a book similar to the Quran with all its properties, just bring a book that is similar to it in terms of rhetoric only and refute the cause of the Quran.

The polytheists could not answer this challenge and they could not produce a book similar to the Quran in terms of rhetoric.

Then, the Quran challenged them as follows in the 5th level:

Since you cannot produce a book similar to the Quran in terms of rhetoric, just produce a book similar to its rhetoric; the news it contains does not have to be true. It can contain false news. I will accept it if its rhetoric is similar…

When the polytheists kept silent due to this challenge, the Quran challenged them for the 6th time:

If you cannot write a book like the Quran, write a book that will contain only 10 chapters like the chapters of the Quran.

When the polytheists could not write 10 chapters similar to the chapters of the Quran, the Quran challenged them for the 7th time as follows:

Since you cannot write 10 chapters, write only one chapter similar to the chapters of the Quran and refute the cause of the Quran.

The polytheists could not do it, either; they could not produce even one chapter like the chapters of the Quran. Thereupon, the Quran challenged them for the 8th and last time:

You could not produce a long chapter. Then, produce a short chapter like the Quran at least. For, you can save your honor, dignity, religion, property and your world and the hereafter only by doing it. If you do not do it - in fact, you will not be able to do it - you will live dishonorably, dishonestly, irreligiously and in disgrace in this world and you will lose your lives and property. In the hereafter, you will be condemned to Hell and be the fuel of Hellfire together with your idols…

The polytheists could not answer this challenge of the Quran, either. They could not write a chapter similar to the Quran, which was the easier way, but they preferred to fight, which was the longer and more dangerous way, and lost their lives and property. However, if they had written a short chapter like one of the chapters of the Quran, they would have refuted the cause of the Quran and would not have had to fight. However, they preferred to fight. This shows that it is not possible to write something like the Quran. Then, the Quran cannot be the work of a human being. An illiterate person can never write something like the Quran.

At this state, the following question can come to the mind: How do we know that the polytheists could not write a book similar to the Quran when they were faced by the challenge of the Quran in 8 levels. Maybe they wrote something.

Our answer to this question is as follows: If they had written something similar to a chapter of the Quran, it would definitely have been very famous and the people who wanted to refute the cause of the Quran would have supported it. They published everything that they thought to be against Islam; they would have definitely published something like that and it would have been included in history books. If you search all of the history books, you will not be able to find a book even a chapter like the Quran. This proves that the genius writers and orators of that age could not write a book similar to the Quran.

One writer expressed their inability as follows: "They could not oppose it using letters; so, they had to oppose it using swords."

This challenge of the Quran in 8 levels, the inability of the polytheists to answer this challenge and their preference to follow the long and dangerous way, which was war, instead of the short way, which was writing a few lines, proves that the Quran is the word of Allah.

10-) The witnessing of literary people

The genius scholars of rhetoric witness that the Quran is the word of Allah.

If you caught an illness, who would you see for treatment and whose word would you rely on?

A great architect?

Or a great electrical engineer?

Or a physicist?

Or an ordinary doctor?

You would definitely listen to the word of a doctor and rely on his word. For, it is a known rule that when there is a disagreement regarding an issue, the word of the genius people of that science and art is valid. When the diagnosis of an illness is in question, the view of a great architect is not as valid as the view of an ordinary doctor.

Since our topic is whether the Quran is the word of a human being or not, the view of rhetoric and literature scholars is preferred to the view of thousands of other people.

Yes, the genius scholars of rhetoric, that is the art of speech, witness that the words of the Quran are faultless and that the Quran cannot be the word of a human being.

Yes, although the Quran was sent down in 20 years, in different places and in parts, there is such coherence and harmony among its words and verses that it looks as if it was sent down altogether at one time.

Scholars like Zamakhshari, Sakkaki and Abdulqahir Jurjani examined the Quran word by word and agreed unanimously that it is the word of Allah and that it cannot be the word of a human being.

A firefly cannot seem like a real star to the specialized observers and cannot deceive them. Even if they are deceived at first sight for a short time, they will understand that it is not a star but a firefly. A fly cannot make observers see it as a peacock by hiding its identity as a fly for a year.  Their artificial appearance cannot confuse careful eyes. If the star of the Quran, which shines in the sky of the Islamic world and which always emits the truth, were - God forbid - something made up by a human like a firefly, the genius scholars of rhetoric and literature would definitely notice it.

It is not possible for these genius scholars of rhetoric to consider the word of a human being as the word of Allah and not to notice it for fourteen centuries. Satan would not allow it even if he acted very tactfully.
